Students' Council

The Students’ Council of the University Ignatianum is a place where every student will find something for themselves. By getting to know the needs and preferences of the entire student community, the Council organizes events and projects that are accessi-ble to everyone and allows to enjoy their participation.

Every year in November the "Cecyliada" Festival of Academic Creativity is organized, during which the most talented students can present themselves on stage, in front of the entire community. Every year there are attractive prizes for the winners. The high level of participants makes the jury never an easy task.

Taking care of the unity of the student community, the Council periodically organizes integration events – and sometimes even carnival balls – in great clubs in Krakow. The Council also runs many charity actions. Thanks to the "Crayon Action", there has developed a tradition that our graduates, after defending their di-ploma theses, instead of buying flowers and souvenirs for their supervisors, dub up on school equipment for children from poor families.

The members of the Council are also familiar with patriotic involvement. In order to turn a patriotic attitude into a con-crete act, the Council organizes, as part of the National Day of Remembrance of Cursed Soldiers, the action of blood donation "Give blood to the Homeland". In cooperation with the Odra-Niemen Association, the Ignatianum students coordinate the action "Compatriots for Heroes", i.e. the action of support former Home Army soldiers living abroad.

All these activities are aimed at building integration of the academic communi-ty and encouraging every student to actively engage in social activities during their studies at the Ignatianum.
